The small pastel rainbow has been designed with toddlers as well as slightly older children in mind.
When children begin to develop the ability to think symbolically they start to use objects, actions and ideas to mimic other objects, actions and ideas through pretend play. The central, solid bow of this small rainbow can be held in a tiny hand and pushed around the floor as a car, the outer bow held up to an ear and used as a telephone. Or give your child 2 sticks and allow them to drum away on the bows merrily. This behaviour shows a child's understanding of the world around them and allows them to explore with a toy that will nourish their senses and connect them to nature. There is no limit to what the toy can mimic, and it promotes open-ended play.
The small rainbow is made from premium sustainably-sourced lime or poplar wood. The non-toxic pastel stains used to coat them ensure the organic texture of the wood is 100% preserved; making for a totally natural sensory experience. All of the pigments are made in Italy and comply with international toy safety standards.
